Yes: Drink plenty of water, at least one ounce per pound of body wt. Also incl plenty of fresh fruits and veggies and fiber from cereals.

Hydration: Depends on your history . If you have chronic constipation then difficult problem. Also depends what you are calling constipation. Noal bowel movements can be once in three days for some. But short of that drink lots of fluids and can use stool softeners . Most meds contain senekot which is irritates the bowel and chronic use can make things worse.
