Very common: Most people have a hard time losing as much weight as they would like. But, in general, a person's blood pressure and cholesterol will go down after a weight loss of 5-10%. So try not to get discouraged. Talk to your doctor, and if possible a dietitian to find out what more you can do to reduce calories and increase physical activity.
