No, not rectal type: Mycotoxins (the toxic chemicals made by some molds or fungi) can be harmful to humans and animals. Aflatoxin is a well known mycotoxin that can be found in cereals, spices, tree nuts, and animal feeds, so foods are screened to check for contamination with aflatoxin. The aflatoxin can cause liver disease and liver cancer. Mold is not known to cause rectal cancer.

Mold and cancer: Molds, like those that grow on damp surfaces in a wet house, stink, but they do not cause cancer. Rectal cancer may be related to diet and diseases of the rectum (infections, inflammation), but not to mold.
