Do i need a catheter for my neck surgery?

Depends on surgery: It all depends on the length of the surgery and the condition that you have in your neck. Would leave this up to the surgeon. Discuss this with him.

Depends: There are so many types of neck surgeries. In the most common neck surgery on the spine, known as an acdf, we don't use a catheter because the case usually takes about an hour. This is a generalization, but in my practice we do not use a catheter in most cases less than two hours, and those over two hours do. Thank you for your question.
