Unlikely: There are specific types of asbestos which can cause lung problems, including mesothelioma or lung cancer. These usually present after several decades. Asbestos used in insulation usually stays in place, and would be an issue only when the asbestos becomes airborne, like in demolition.

? background info ?: Sitting in a classroom where this was used would not be an exposure with risk. Ripping it out of the walls/ceiling/pipe coverings in a school without proper protective gear would be an exposure with risk but might tale decades before problems were detected.
