Tea tree oil: They are the same but not the same as tea oil which is the oil from tea. Rather this comes from a speical plant whose botanical name is melaleuca alternifolia. It is reported by proponents to be anti bacterial, anti microbial, anti septic, anti viral, balsamic, cicatrisant, expectorant, fungicide, insecticide, stimulant and sudorific.
