Ginger juice: Better of two choices, though honestly not familiar with is use for sore thoat but is safe, avoid alcohol for any medical problem, it is not a medication. Try honey, warm herbal tea, hot shower, cough drops, salt water gargle, hot chicken soup, honestly home remedies, besides alcohol, are best choices.

Ginger: Agree with dr. Blixt. I personally use a combination of buckwheat honey & freshly grated organic ginger in chamomile tea for sore throats. It works very effectively. For severe sore throat & enlarged nodes/ tonsils - see dr. For eval. Brandy is not a good choice for what ails you.
