Pediatric pulmonolog: In the USA; pediatric pulmonologists would have spent 3 years in an accredited fellowship program followed by successfully passing the pediatric pulmonology board exam. To be eligible for a fellowship in pulmonology, the candidate physician should have completed a 3 year residency training in general pediatrics.
