Lafora: Lafora disease, also called lafora progressive myoclonic epilepsy or melf is a fatal autosomal recessive genetic disorder characterized by the presence of lafora inclusion bodies within the cells of the neurons, heart, liver, muscle, and skin. Most patients with this disease do not live past the age of 25, and death within ten years of symptoms is usual. No treatment is known at this time.
