Elavil (amitriptyline): Elavil (amitriptyline) has a drying effect, so if sweating, it could be rebound from the medication getting out of your system due to its short half life. Another possibility is underlying anxiety.

It is a known side: Effect from amitriptyline. It may cause dry skin in some ; increased sweating in others.
