Kidney stone (KS): If a ks is causing a blockage then a stent or a nephrostomy tube is indicated especially in light of an infection +/- intractable pain. Surgical intervention to "remove" the stone is avoided because of the desire to minimize radiation exposure to the fetus. A non-obstructive ks does not need to be treated. www.peedoc.com @drhtay.
