A member asked:

How can one treat a swollen finger joint?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: First, your doctor needs to diagnose what is causing the swelling. There can be many causes and each one requires a different treatment. If it is caused by arthritis, anti-inflammants may be prescribed. If it is an infection, antibiotics. If it is from trauma; rest. You get the picture. Get a diagnosis first and then the treatment is prescribed.
