Very safe: Stimulants are so safe the amer acad of peds standard care for treatment of add mandates recommending stimulant for treatment of adhd. To give you a comparison, tylenol, (acetaminophen) penicillin, birth control, aspirin, vitamin a are much more dangerous than Adderall or methylphenidate. If an add person doesn't take them, risk for addiction, smoking, felonies, academic failure, auto accidents, personal failure.
