Gbs: Question too complex for simple answer. It should be directed to your neurologist. 20-30% people do not have full recovery. In others, full recovery can take a year or longer. The specifics of your illness and prognosis should be addressed by your physicians.

Unknown: Gbs will last about 4 weeks in most people. However people do occasionally have numbness long-term from it.
