Virus will resolve: Many time cause is actually a virus and zithromycin won't make much of a difference. Most upper respiratory infections and pharyngitis infections are viral in nature and are self-limiting so it should resolve on its own. As long as you can open your mouth without too much trouble you can probably watch this and let it resolve. If you have difficulty opening your mouth see a dr. Right away.
