Breast-feeding: It is not uncommon for women who breast-feed not to have a cycle. Breast-feeding suppresses ovulation therefore you will not have a cycle in the regular sense. You may get occasional bleeding but most of the time breast-feeding is effective at stopping ovulation. Don't assume this is a good form of birth control though as it is not 100% effective.
