Delayed ovulation: Breast feeding delays the return of ovulation but when you start supplementing with solids,etc. your ovaries start working again.Your periods should gradually become regular.Be sure you are using something for contraception until you are ready to have another.The progestin only pills provide contraception and are usually the ones used while breast feeding but they don't regulate periods.
