Location ??: If your kid is still growing the increase in activity can stir up problems a growth point just below the knee cap where the upper leg muscles attach to the lower leg. If there is a tender knob in the center, it may be a simple but recurrent problem until she finishes growing. If pain is under the knee cap or on the side of her knee, there are other issues which your dr can help you sort out.

See a doc: Knee pain in a child can be the result of a hip or knee problem. Usually it's nothing that a couple of weeks of rest and gradual return to activity won't solve. However without a medical exam it's impossible to know.
