Shingles reappearing: Yes. Unfortunately. This can be ameliorated, hopefully, by getting the zostavax or "shingles' vaccine. This vaccine may prevent any further problems, but yes this outbreak can re-occur.

Define multiple : Most people develop shingles only once. The reported percentage of these who get a second episode is 2-4 percent. Multiple (more than 2) is even less common.
