See a Podiatrist: These symptoms could be a manefestation of many things. Sounds like it is getting worse. Have it checked out.

Are you flatfooted?: Flatfeet or hypropronation place strain on the posterior tibial nerve in an area called the tarsal tunnel. This foot type can cause pain in the ankle as well as the burning you describe. A orthotic would be a good start if the above description sounds like your foot. If it does not help, please see a podiatrist or foot and ankle orthopedist.

See a podiatrist: If the problem is getting worse then you need an examination to determine the problem.
