Yes: There are many diseases of the spleen. These can be a variety of infections that occur in the spleen, cancer can metastasize to the spleen, occasionally a lymphoma can start in the spleen, the spleen can be enlarged from cirrhosis or other conditions, and the spleen can be involved in destroying abnormal blood cells.
