Scheuermann's: You've probably tried all the conservative treatments already - intensive pt with someone trained in dealing with severe kyphosis, different pain meds. Orthopedic intervention like surgery and fusion is last resort option - and although it can help with pain, it doesn't correct the deformity. Surgery is very invasive, so coming up with a multimodal treatment plan before that is important.

May be another issue: Scheuermann's disease does not usually cause such severe pain. It is usually described as an achy, muscular pain increased with prolonged standing centered about the mid- spine & sometimes in the lumbar area if there is an increased compensatory lordosis. I would be concerned about other sources for your pain. This should be evaluated before assuming the pain is related to this spinal diagnosis.
