Back pain common: AS a young person it may be what have you been doing As one is very active and able to do much, the possibility is very high. The pain can be quite severe and is can last for several days. The muscle relaxants may help with a little time and the pain relievers should be no stronger than advil (ibuprofen) Give it a little time and if no better on Monday see your doc. Best wishes/

Back pain: Back pain is hard to diagnose in the office, and is often one of the most common conditions encountered in the primary care setting. You need a good history and examination, that may include the need for testing such as x-rays, etc. to determine your most likely cause and the best treatment. See a good Dr., preferably one who treats back pain such as an Orthopedic Dr. Best wishes.
