Probably not: He is thin for his height and age. He's in the bottom quartile for weight as per the cdc standardized growth chart. Genetics does however play a role in our size and shape. Continue eating healthy foods. As he gets closer to puberty he will gain muscle mass.

Probably just fine: As long as he is thriving, his weight is fine. His calculated bmi is 14.7 which puts him at the 8th percentile for boys age 10. If you or your son is concern about his weight, please talk with his pediatrician.
