Why can taking hormone supplements be dangerous at 80?

It's not: Many women can safely use menopausal hormonal therapy as they age, even beyond 80. A thorough and thoughtful evaluation by a women's health specialist is recommended.

It is not.: Hormone replacement started at a later age may have somewhat less health benefits than started at an earlier age post-menopause. But I am not aware of any studies stating that it is UNsafe. Just make sure you are working with a forward-thinking doctor who specializes in bio-identical hormone replacement. Hope this helps.
