Must everyone take hormone supplements as i age?

No: Most women do fine without taking hormones after menopause. Some women have no symptoms of menopause. Other choose to go through menopause without using hormones, which is perfectly fine. Hormones should not be used to prevent conditions such as heart disease or osteoporosis. It's better to use exercise and diet for prevention.

No: Many people choose to take hormone replacement for menopausal symptoms. You do not have to. It's a personal decision. That being said, in some cases bioidentical hormones can not only improve symptoms but also have been shown in some studies to reduce the risks of developing chronic diseases of aging such as heart disease when started in early menopause.
