A member asked:

Who should take care of my skin when using a lower limb prosthesis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: The first person who should be responsible for your skin is you. However, the prosthetist can teach you the best way to care for your skin and what to watch out for including, red spots, pimples, rashes etc. Once you become educated about this it is really a matter of inspecting your skin daily, trying to keep it as dry as possible and being aware of any persistent irritated areas.
