Golfers elbow: Golfers elbow is caused by stress to the inner aspect of the elbow. This is due to the position of the elbow during the swing process. Inflammation develops in the tendon on that side of the elbow.

Tendon injury: Golfer's elbow, technically known as medial epicondylitis, is due to overuse. Over time, this can cause injury to the tendons that attach your forearm muscles to the inside of the elbow - flexor pronator muscle group. Inflammation (tendonitis) is only a small part of it the condition during acute flare-ups. Degeneration (tendonosis) of the tissue is a major contributor to the chronic nagging pain.
