Advisable: All utis should be treated, especially during pregnancy. Usually not a problem if promptly treated with appropriate antibiotics. But UTI could affect the kidneys and cause pyelonephritis which in turn could lead to premature labor. Good luck.

Yes: Uti can ascend to the kidney and create pyelonephritis. Complications of kidney infections can be very serious. Pregnancy is known for asymptomatic bacteriuria so if you are having symptoms it might be is getting serious.
