Are there things i can do to speed up my recovery after hernia surgery?

Slowly increase: Gradually increase your activity with your doctor's approval. Walking and gradual light exercises that do not strain the area that had surgery can be helpful. Mostly it takes time, about 4 to 6 weeks, for full recovery depending on the type of surgery performed.

Hernia: You can start walking and stretching as well as light aerobic exercises as soon as your surgeon allows you to which is variable based on the technique and what type of repair you had.
