A member asked:

What is dicloxacillin used for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antistaphylococcal: This drug is effective against staphylococci which have developed resistance to penicillin by virtue of the production of an enzyme called penicillinase. Unfortunately it is not effective against mrsa, and has reduced activity in comparison to penicillin against other organisms. Its purpose is quite limited.
