What are some examples of disordered thinking?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Strange logic: Disordered thinking refers to thinking that does not follow the typical pattern. There are some extreme examples. Derailment is when I am talking about subject x and then i switch with no transition to subject y. Word salad is where words come out that have no apparent relationship to each other. Tangentiality is where ideas have some relationship, but a very loose one - airplanes and space.
