A member asked:

When anxiety is triggered by something, why does it always make you have so many negative thoughts? example: i may be dying. have bad disease.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clarify question plz: If the stimulus is negative, it usually will elicit negative response, in your case anxiety. You give examples of "i may be dying etc" are you asking why you have so many negative thoughts and are so anxious? Or are you saying you simply worry too much about your health etc. I notice you use xanax (alprazolam). Why don't you discuss concerns with your dr. I wish i were more helpful but it's difficult online.
