Psych.: Psychiatrist is a medical doctor (md) treating patients with mental illnesses, both thru therapy & managing medications. Psychologist is a phd who treats similar patients thru psychotherapy & can perform psychological testing if qualified to do so. Both disciplines work very close to provide quality care to patients.

Psychiatry : A psychiatrist is an md who is a graduate from medical school and has 4 years of medical and psychiatric training to anaylze disorders of the mind and determine labs, appropriate medications psychologists are usually phd or psycd who are trained in testing and counseling some states may allow psychology to prescribe in remote areas.
