Usually : Plantar fascitiis, this is the road banded ligament that helps support the arch. Try applying ice and wearing an over the counter arch support. Before getting out of bed in the morning massage the heel.

Several things: Pain can be from neuropathy, plantar fasciatis, tedonitis etc. Make an appointment with your podiatrist.

Most commonly: Plantar fascitiis. Try icing the sole, using an over the counter antiinflammatory like Motrin or allege, wear an arch support, massage your arch and heel before getting out of bed in the morning. If no improvement see a podiatrist.
