Usually : Plantar fascitiis, this is the road banded ligament that helps support the arch. Try applying ice and wearing an over the counter arch support. Before getting out of bed in the morning massage the heel.

Several things: Pain can be from neuropathy, plantar fasciatis, tedonitis etc. Make an appointment with your podiatrist.

Most commonly: Plantar fascitiis. Try icing the sole, using an over the counter antiinflammatory like Motrin or allege, wear an arch support, massage your arch and heel before getting out of bed in the morning. If no improvement see a podiatrist.

Plantar Fasciitis: You likely have Plantar Fasciitis and may see improvement with anti-inflammatory medication, rest and plantar support. Your shoes are likely too soft and flat and lack sufficient support for your feet.

It's very important to stretch the Achille's tendon for at least 5 minutes twice a day. This will help the plantar fascia to work less. Freeze a bottle of water and roll your heel on it for 10 minutes twice a day as well to decrease inflammation.
