Swelling in pelvis: When you menstruate, you have an egg rupture from one side of the pelvis or the other. This causes swelling in the lower abdomen in an area where the nerves pass thru onto the lower leg. This is a fairly common problem and can be treated, usually, with an anti-inflammatory agent.
