A stimulant, it can increase heart rate, leading to heart stresses that could affect performance. Undoubtedly all the tars and poisons in smoke could affect bodily functions in ways we do not understand. COPD or the lung disease of smoking makes it impossible to breath.

Yes sometimes.: Cigarette smokers are no longer sexy. Nonsmokers hate the way their smoking partners breath smells. On the other hand trying to find sex does increase smoking , then there is the post coital cigarette !
