Agree with Dr. K: You have pre-diabetes. Losing about 10% of your weight, exercising at least 150 minutes week and reducing carbohydrate intake may help in preventing progression of disease. It would be useful to consult a nutritionist for dietary advice. You doctor may wish to prescribe medication usually, metformin to address the abnormality.
