? shot/blood draw ?: There are screening blood draw tests they can do on maternal blood for chemicals suggestive of DS.There is a more definitive blood draw test they do that finds fetal cells in mothers blood and can look for DS or other chromosome defects (NIPP) .There is a "shot" into your pregnant belly @ 16 wks where they draw off fluid and do a chromosome study for DS (amniocentesis)
