BV and yeast: Bv is an imbalance of bacteria in the vagina, where the anaerobic bacteria overgrow. The condition can cause an abnormal odor, but can be present with no symptoms. "yeast" is when candida or other yeast organisms overgrow and often causes discharge, itching or irritation.
