Chicken pox after va: Chicken ox after varicella vaccine can happen rarely if the vaccine was not stored at the proper temperature due to some reason breakthrough infection caused by wild type varicella virus but even if you get the disease it is quite mild.

Occasionally: Studies reflect 85% protection with 1 dose & more than 95% with 2 given at least a month apart after age 1yr. That leaves a small portion of the population that may susceptible in spite of getting all doses. Poor storage and administration can also effect a given dose or doses but is rarely seen. Having all kids get the vaccine produces a situation where the few are unlikely to be exposed.
