Symptoms and test: To diagnose lupus you need certain combination of symptoms and positive blood test, very typical symptoms oflupus are "butterfly rash" over the nose, join pain/swelling, oral sores, eyes symptoms, lupus can also give lung, heart, kidneys involvment, blood with anemia, low WBC counts. Blood test that can be positive in lupus is ANA (95% patient), anti-dsdna, also blood and urine testing may suggest.
