A member asked:

Do respiridone and abilify (aripiprazole) reduce testosterone or increase estrogen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes: Risperidone has a tendency to increase prolactin levels. Prolactin levels are inversely related to estrogen and testosterone levels with long-term exposure in both men and women. Abilify (aripiprazole) appears much less likely to result in long-term elevations of prolactin and thus less likely to decrease estrogen and testosterone.
