Yes...: Alcohol is a direct toxin to the heart cells, the myocytes. This can lead to atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, pvc's and pac's, and even damage to the muscle to the point of heart failure, so called alcoholic cardiomyopathy. This can the lead to more serious arrhythmias like ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation and sudden death. Moderate amounts of alcohol should not do this however.
