Yes: This syndrome is usually due to trauma to the nerves of the chest wall and/or armpit after a mastectomy. This is usually best managed by a chronic pain specialist experienced in treating postoperative pain.

Yes: Postmastectomy pain is a well-described phenomenon with several etiologies such as phantom breast, intercostal neuralgia, scar neuroma, intercostobrachial neuralgia, and myofascial pain. A good pain doc can figure this out and target treatment.
