PTSD: A "new" category of disorder is being recognized. This is the post traumatic stress disorder (ptsd). Most common is troops returning from combat, but now being recognized in adults who suffered trauma as children. Many studies have described the bad outcomes in shaken babies, but more evidence is coming out about emotional trauma. Physical and emotional abuse will produce long term issues.
