Yes: Its used for pms with a medical indication and therefore might also be helpful with some of the mood symptoms of menopause.

TOO OFTEN: Although some degree of depression and mood changes occur in most women going thru this period, antidepressants are not my first choice of treatment. Natural hormone replacement and treating underlying thyroid issues are more effective in my experience and have less negative side effects.
