Treat the cause: Cirrhosis is not a disease so much as the consequence of one of several diseases: mainly alcoholism, hepatitis b, and hepatitis c. Cirrhosis itself is just a scarred, dysfunctional liver. So it's hard to imagine there being a cure, other than transplantation. The key is to prevent, treat, or cure the diseases that cause cirrhosis.
