Treating cause,PT,+: You have to try to treat the cause, as there are many causes of chronic pain physical therapy emotional and psychiatric support over the counter meds like tylenol prescription meds like motrin, naprosyn, (naproxen) ultram and sometimes narcotics muscle relaxants.

Get to the root: Of course getting to the root of the pain is very important. Chronic pain usually occurs long after the injury or insult has healed or is cured. It is then that the pain may be neurological and treated differently . Often, physical; therapy and exercise is helpful but you must discuss this with your physician.
