Why's it more accurate to check blood glucose on fingertips than other sites on your body?

Blood flow: The fingertips have many small blood vessels and a more rapid blood exchange (better perfusion) than other sites used for alternate testing. Therefore they are the best place to test whenever rechecking a low blood sugar or whenever blood glucose values are changing rapidly such as after a meal.
